je vais t’écrire.

Site-specific creation for 2 performers, 2 live musicians, and a luminous object for outdoor or non-conventional indoor spaces
Duration : approximately 60 minutes
“Through cycles of creation, often taking the form of diptychs or triptychs combining visual or dance works, Christian Rizzo’s oeuvre continually redefines spaces that invite the evocation of memory and the activation of renewed imaginations.
Born from an impromptu performance created for the season opening of ICI—CCN in the Agora courtyard, je vais t’écrire. is a danced connection between Vania Vaneau and Nicolas Fayol, both loyal performers from Rizzo’s recent works.
Composed through an unprecedented association of two solos taken from miramar (2022 creation) and en son lieu (2020 creation), along with a luminous object from the scenography of le syndrome ian (2016 creation), the physical score explores the vibratory power of parallel solitudes.
Each performer, engrossed in their own danced score, engages simultaneously with the surrounding physical space and an invisible vanishing point. They follow the meticulous progression of a space that transforms and reveals itself through the lens of a luminous stage object.
The dance then transforms into an incantatory ode, dialoguing with the sounds created by Nicolas Devos and Pénélope Michel (from the group Cercueil / Puce Moment), oscillating between melancholic softness and tectonic intensity.
Performed live, their composition for guitar, cello, and electronics creates a sonic landscape that fictionalizes both the relationship between the two dancers and the site-specific context in which the dance unfolds.”
